This book is the second volume on significant professional trajectories of nurses, assistants and midwives, and is part of a broad project called Anonymity, invisibility and recognition of caring practices in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Andorra (X-XXI), in which members of the Febe Association for the History of Nursing in Catalan have worked on several studies. This second volume is structured in four parts. The first is developed in two chapters: the first, introductory, where we present why and how the study was done – the methodology -, and the second, in which we theoretically describe the process of the nursing professionalization. In the second and third parts we bring together the biographical stories in two groups to facilitate their reading. The grouping is done chronologically based on the year of their degree. In the second part there are four stories from assistants, midwives and nurses and in the third, a set of eight testimonies from technical health assistants. The texts have a common structure in relation to their configuration. The fourth part contains the analysis of the stories based on the elements of the nursing professionalization. A final chapter brings together the final conclusions.
