The game of the Marraco is a version of the traditional Game of the Goose, in which the original elements of each square have been replaced by typical elements from the popular culture of Lleida: monuments, festivals and celebrations, gastronomy, popular or iconographic characters, economy, sports or institutions and different events in the city. The character that replaces the goose and serves as the guiding thread of the game is the Marraco, a character from the Lleida bestiary who goes out to parade through the streets during fire-runs, local festivals and other popular events.
Elements that contain the game:
- A board illustrated on both sides.
Front: the game itself.
Back: thematic description of all the squares, detailing movements, advantages and penalties.
- 4 tiles in different colors / 4 dice.
“If I find the Marraco I roll the dice again, I have to get to La Seu Vella!”
