In 1997, the Medieval History section of the History Department of the University of Lleida decided to publish every year  a volume dedicated to the study of the Middle Ages. Jordi Bolòs and Joan J. Busqueta took over the edition of these volumes. Up to now (until 2021) eight volumes have been published; from volume V (2010), this collection of books is called Territori i Societat: el paisatge històric. The first volume includes studies on the following topics: the pre-feudal and feudal farmhouse (Josep M. Salrach), the territory and its limits (Jordi Bolòs), the landscape in the Maresme (Coral Cuadrada), organization of the territory and social change in the País Valencià (Antoni Furió), the Fabregada (Marta Sancho), the towers or almunia of Avinganya (Xavier Eritja), the income of the chapter of the seu Lleida (Caterina Argilés), the hospitallers (Prim Bertran), medieval paintings and landscapes (Imma Sànchez-Boira) and the city according to Eiximenis (Josep Olives).
