Rock around Spain offers an overview of the history of rock in Spain going from its first years, at the end of the fifties, to the present years of our century. This is a multidisciplinary approach provided by researchers, musicians, journalists… All of them are experts who were also involved in the evolution of this musical genre in Spain. The historical approach studies economic, social and political aspects in order to contextualize rock and its meaning in each period. It also includes a thorough study that focuses on the particular and prolific traits of rock in several regions during different decades: Andalusian rock, Basque radical rock, Catalan rock and Galician Bravú rock.
