By taking into account different points of view, this text analyzes Quebec’s linguistic, cultural and educational situation. It intends to highlight differences and similarities with other societies (Belgium, Northern Irland and Catalonia) by focusing on three issues: family-school relationships, connections between social origins (economic, linguistic, religious…) and school performance, and teachers’ professional identities.
