This work offers a new approach to multimedia system design, in which the stakeholder value proposition provides the direction that guides a people-centered design process. It proposes a look at digital media, interaction styles and sensory and cognitive perceptions that seek to stimulate the user —through the use of different technologies—, conceiving, designing and specifying solutions for multiple contexts and productive sectors, in a responsible manner, attending to the consideration of ethical and moral factors. At the same time, it discusses the above considering the academic rigor required by different disciplines and fields of knowledge, such as modern Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction and Value Sensitive Design, for its application.
