During the 18th century and the first third of the 19th century, translation experienced a period of success. The cultural relevance of vulgar languages had already been acknowledged and these languages were being translated. Taking into account that this European phenomenon reached Spain, this text analyses several translation aspects, the topics that were subject to translation processes, the language used, presence of Latinity, and translation of poetry, novel and theatre.
