L’estat de salut i la fragilitat de les persones grans de Lleida. L’enquesta FRALLE

This book contains the result of seven years of work performed by the research team Healthy Ageing, which belongs to the Nursing and Physiotherapy Department of the University of Lleida. In order to ease the reader’s understanding of elders’ fragility within the community and learn more about the socio-demographic and health traits of Lleida’s population, the text also includes the results of the FRALLE survey. It analyses the factors associated with fragility and the ways they can affect an individual during a period of two years. These factors are the socio-demographic traits (age, sex, civil status, level of education…), habits with an impact on health (smoking, alcohol consumption, physical exercise…) and health status (disabilities, cognitive state, depressive symptoms, malnutrition, quality of life…). This publication intends to reach a scientific audience, but also a greater number of citizens such as health professionals, social organizations and service providers. This book has been created with the collaboration of Lleida’s local government-La Paeria, the city’s Professional Assocition of Nurses and Segrià’s County Council.
