The analytical (technical, iconographic, formal and stylistic) and comparative study, carried out by a team of experts belonging to the Centre d’Art d’Època Moderna (CAEM) of Lleida’s University, attributes an excellent oil on canvas preserved as part of a Spanish collection to the painter Josep de Ribera (Xàtiva 1591 – Nàpols 1652). The painting was created in Naples during the viceroyalty of the III Duke of Osuna between 1616 and 1620.
