This text provides information about the socioeconomic evolution of past rural societies through the study of economy, society and the potential for conflict concerning communal properties located in the boundaries of Tamarit de Llitera. The work is divided into two sections: the first one analyzes the rural reality of Tamarit in relation to the main events of the century, and the second one focuses on a long trial dating from 1773 and its consequences in the village.
