Nova Cançó (New Song) is the name given to the artistic and musical movement that encouraged the use of Catalan language in music during the last years of the Franco regime. This volume focuses on the first ten years of history of this artistic movement. In fact, these were essential years to understand the origins, development and consolidation of an indispensable cultural phenomenon in Catalonia’s recent history.
