In Santa Maria de les Franqueses de Balaguer, the Segre river offers a magnificent space for teachers to apply their teaching and learning strategies to the study of natural sciences during elementary and secondary education. This project focuses on three main teaching proposals that revolve around the discovery of fluvial dynamics, the study of forest plants and the observation of its fauna. The book includes a total amount of 21 activities and a wide range of support materials. Every activity is connected to useful information for the teacher and includes a DIN-A4 hands-on worksheet that can be downloaded through a QR code. Every material offered includes illustrations that ease the understanding of the activities and the identification of the organisms.
This book intends to be a useful educational tool to complement the contents introduced in class. At the same time, it can also be useful for those who go for a walk through these forests and want to know more about their flora and fauna.
