Educación Física y pedagogía crítica. Propuestas para la transformación personal y social

Frequently, critical pedagogy has received criticism as a result of their limited practical development and due to the complicated transformation of theoretical statements into specific pedagogical practices. The aim of this book is to overcome these criticisms and present a wide variety of national and international experiences currently fostered by different work groups in education contexts. These groups are formed by experts that have expressed their concerns and will to transform Physical Education into a subject that empowers students through critical awareness and help them be more sensitive towards social conflicts so that they can have the confidence to reshape their communities and surroundings. The experiences studied in this book do not intend to work as a manual to be followed by teachers. The goal is to shape a source of suggestions and ideas that can inspire readers and help them reflect on their ideas in order to adapt them to their context and professional practice.
