Dos panegírics d’Andreu Rey d’Artieda (1604) i Vicent Garcia (1613) pronunciats a l’Estudi General de Lleida is a monograph based on the unpublished doctoral thesis read by the author in 1984, which was given an excellent with cum laude and the PhD extraordinary prize in 1985. This thesis makes an inventory of a significant number of baroque chansonniers, creates the first catalogue of poems attributed to Vicent Garcia and other baroque poets, and critically edits Garcia’s works. With this book, the edition of the author’s more ambitious composition is reassembled. To do so, more manuscripts have been taken into account, exhaustive annotations have been included and two poems mistakenly attributed to Garcia have been added. Finally, this work ends with the author’s proposal of attributing one of these poems to Andreu Rey D’Artieda.
