This text is the answer to the will to understand and identify the representation mechanisms of the subordinate voices of history. The book shows the configuration of those voices belonging to the popular classes of Artà, a rural village in Mallorca. This is achieved by analyzing argumentos: songs that defend the subordinate voices and build collective memory. At the same time, this research focuses on the validity of tradition and its social effectiveness during the 20th century.
