This book focuses on existing connections between architecture and writing during the two decades before the Spanish Civil War. The author’s research is devoted to the relationship between writers and architects, explores the contribution of four relevant figures (José Moreno Villa, Vicente Huidobro, Ernesto Giménez Caballero and Fernando García Mercadal) and analyzes the construction of la Gran Via de Madrid, which is considered a cultural and architectural symbol of peninsular modernity.
