Arties, una vila aranesa a l’antic règim

This book studies the traditional life of Arties’ population, a village at the heart of the Vall d’Aran, during the 17th and 19th centuries. The author’s main historical source has been the Llibre de Políticas del Conselh d’Arties (1748). The text analyzes the common traits of the territory that can be found in villages such as Arties; from geography and economy, to traditions and other main traits of the Aranese valley.
