Aigua, burgesia i catalanisme. Mollerussa, la construcció d’una ciutat (1874-1936)

This text focuses on the birth of the city of Mollerussa. It explains how two essential resources for progress made it possible: water and communications. The building of a railway station and the Urgell canal had an influence on Mollerussa’s economy, internal organization and the establishment of a new society that intended to start anew by copying the example of European industrialization models and welcoming chances of progress.
